“…but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you…” (1 Peter 3:15)
The other day during a conversation a man mentioned that since he had turned his life over to the Lord, every day he lived with an anticipation of God’s presence with him, ordering and helping him in his day. He said it was such a contrast to the dread with which he used to live. It reminded me of how the evangelist Oral Roberts used to begin his television broadcasts. He would come on and say, “Something GOOD is going to happen to YOU today!”
Sometimes we need to be reminded that we are not in this alone, that God is with us, and will help us with everything that comes our way, and will cause all things to work together for our good. As Christians, we live with a hope within our breasts that the world cannot comprehend. We may not know how, but we know deep within our beings that somehow everything is going to be okay.
As you read this, it may be the beginning, middle or end of your day. At whatever point you are, I encourage you to pause and believe that something GOOD is going to happen to YOU today!
